Thursday 30th April 2015

Hi everyone,
Today I thought only a few people were again going to attend Bible study as  there were only 4
people there when we began to serve lunch
However by the time lunch had finished 11 people were had arrived for Bible study. This included one new person who had not been before.
Unfortunately today was not without incident. One guy left early because he did not get the attention from someone that he wanted.
Then another lady as we finished lost it. She became very angry and took this out on a few people especially me saying I dont give a S**t about here. Mind you this is after I had offered to give her bus fare
and dinner from today's lunch left overs.
She called later and I took her for coffee and talked and prayed with her. She really is a child and cannot articulate her anger nor control it.
I realised the problem was she was short some money, however she could not say this. I helped her.
Her anger takes over  when other people have attention paid to them and she thinks she is getting ignored. It takes a while to figure out why she is so angry because she fires off at everyone else around her indiscriminately.

Please pray for her as people are becoming increasingly  annoyed and irritated at her very abrupt disposition.

Please continue to pray for the group. As you can see the people there need constant prayer.
Thanks
Michael

Thursday 23rd April 2015

Hi everyone
Thursday was a relatively quiet day with some people away sickness and the affects of two heavy days of wet.
Even so 8 people attended including one new guy who has just moved into the lodge and I had spoken to on Tuesday. He also joined us for Bible study on Tuesday afternoon as well as today.
Please pray that God will continue to work in the hearts of the people who attend and that God will change their lives.
Pray also that God will bring people in a good state of mind on Sunday ready to receive his word as the SHUM team will be participating in the service on Sunday.
Thanks for your prayers
Michael

Update on Vanuatu, Tanna Island

We had recently raised money to send to Tanna so they could buy rice as aid had still not arrived after 4 weeks.
Here is there response. With the money they sent they were able to obtain rice.

"We all want to say thank you for the rice you funded.
We bought 20bags of rice of 15 kg and 2 bags of 27.5kg, and 3 cartons of tinfish and 2 cartons of soap.
We share it with 45 households.
We will be caught up with him. Thank God for the risen Lord and Saviour.
We haven't had any disaster relief yet.
Tell all who have help we love them in Jesus name."

Thank you and may the Lord bless you and keep you.

Thank you for your support and please to continue to pray for the people of Vanuatu.
Thanks
Michael

Thursday 16th April 2015

Hi everyone,
Today we returned to the Thursday group after a 2 week recess.
We only had about half our normal group there but this made for an interesting
and peaceful Bible study with everyone participating.
After Bible study I went to the Edward Eagar lodge  to follow up on a couple of people.
The atmosphere over there was completely different people I could sense people were a little tense and anxious. I even said that to the office staff and they agreed. One lady had cut her toe and it was being bandaged up near the office.
Another lady I talked to, was clearly on edge and I prayed with her. However all exploded very quickly, the lady I spoke to took offense at something the lady who cut her toe said and she just went up and let fly a couple of really big punches.
The workers and I came between them blood was free flowing and the police were soon there.
This is actually what life is like amongst these people.
Thanks and praise God that He watches over us even when we are unaware.
Please continue to pray for the Thursday group and the people who attend and God's presence at Edward Eagar Lodge.
It is clear God is needed.
Thanks
Michael
