March 4th Thursday Bible study

Thanks for everyone's prayers for the Thursday group. Thursday was again well attended with 10 people. Two guys attended from their invitations on Tuesday night. Praise God. One of them though looked fairly sick and left a little early, I hope to go to the hospital. One woman who has been cominh is proving a little irritating so please pray for wisdom as we deal with her.

March Shum Team

The March Shum Team has started. The first Tuesday night in March was well received with many marginalised people attending. This happened to the extent we ran out of hot water. Lets pray for a challenging month where people are encouraged in Jesus, both believers and non-believers.

February SHUM Team Thanks

Thanks to all participants who attended February SHUM. I Hope you learnt some things about yourselves and others in relation to God. Hopefully we will meet again in the not to distant future.

21 Feb Sunday

A guy some of you may remember Jim (white hair and beard) after 2 months showed up to see me on Sunday. I had not seen him for 2 months but previously had spent alot of time with him and procurred him accommodation as well. During the absence though he left that accommodation and is now back on the street. This is not as bad as it sounds as he is doing quite well and God obviously prompted him to come to Church and see me. We shared a good time of fellowship together that morning and hopefully he will feel comfortable enough to return. God is amazing! Please continue to pray for Jim.

Christmas week 2009

On the Tuesday before Christmas day some of the Thursday group met at Edward Eager Lodge on Tuesday evening for a Christmas party. Everyone had a good meal and received a present as well.
The Thursday Bible study group met as usual the day before Christmas with attendance a little down. Six people attended with 2 new people attending who had not been before. It's always amazing how God works. We had lunch, prayer and Bible discussion.
I am feeling tired from being there each Thursday preparing lunch and Bible study. Please pray that God will renew my strength physically and spiritually. I intend to shut the thursday group down for a couple of weeks in January.
