Thursday 14th Feb 2013

Hi everyone.

Thanks for your prayers. I had our smallest number for along time. 6 people attended and two had to leave during Bible study. However fellowship and the study went well with people sharing and talking freely I think because of the smaller number. So God was indeed gracious. Also the guy who I mentioned to you last week, who is not well mentally, still managed to return today. He still wants me to pray for him and hopefully will be there on Sunday to have Bible study.

I was also fortunate that my wife had the day off work and so was able to drive me in, pick up food and help out.

Please pray that other former regulars will return as there seem to be a few away still.

One guy who did not attend on Thursday came to see me on Sunday at Church. He is not going so well. Please pray for him.

SHUM starts for 2013 and unexpected incident

Hi everyone

SHUM on Tuesday nights has begun.

Just like Thursdays things are a little slow getting started and people are still getting used to the idea that we are back.

Sorry I have been offline but I had an accident.

I plan to hopefully attend not this Tuesday but the following. I broke my wrist quite severely and have a plate and 2 screws holding it in place. I also had 8 stitches above my lip which has just recently been removed. I also had a lot of bruising on my body but a lot of this has now gone down. I will be seeing the surgeon and getting follow up xrays this week.

I cannot drive which does propose a bit of a problem. This is because I often need to cart many things with me whilst doing ministry. Please pray that I will be able to sort/reorganise this.

I managed to run Thursday Bible study group last week. My son drove me in and setup and cleaned up and drove me home. One new person attended which is great but we still have a number of semi regulars missing. We had 7 people attend. This did not include myself, my son and another helper. Please pray for one guy who was extremely consistent in attending everything but has now mentally lost it and with that his life is disarray. Its truly a miracle that he came on Thursday even though his thinking is all over the place. Pray that God will work in him and continue to remind him to attend.

2013 Thursdays Commence

Hi everyone,
After a break today was the restart of Thursday Bible studies.It was a slow start but in the end 7 people attended with another coming to see me after we just finished. Another also SMS in he was trying to make it today but unfortunately could not be there. Roxan provided a great lunch and new helper Margaret from the Church I attend, CPC, also came to help out. It was good to see those who attended today and we have begun the year by studying Romans.
Another person also intended to come today and came the previous week when we were not there. Please pray for this fellow as he admitted himself into rehab and hence why he was not there today.
Please also pray that people will come forward to participate in SHUM on Tuesday nights in February. I am currently a little short in numbers for February.

Thursday 20th December

Hi everyone

This was the last Thursday meeting for the year. We served up a great meal. Chinese pork buns, dim sim, prawn dumplings, beef and noodles hor-fun (thick noodles) , vietnamese wraps and mango pudding for dessert (made by a friend Margaret who also attended). Another friend also made up packets of sweet treats to give everyone.
10 people attended with a number of regulars unfortunately not there. 3 people came who had not been for months and attended. Helpers were my wife Lisa, Derek, Ann and new comer Margaret also from my Church.
We had Bible discussion followed by communion. Thursday meetings will resume on the 24th January.
However they can still contact me in between on Sundays and attend Bible study there. I will also be contactable and available to them on some of the Tuesdays in January.
Thanks everyone for your prayers and supporting this ministry throughout the year.
Please continue to pray for them as a couple of the regulars have gone missing as of late. Pray that God will keep them in his care and that they will not stray to far but will know where home truly is.

Thursday 13th December 2012

The last two Thursdays our numbers have dropped a little with about 7 people attending. This however still makes for a good Bible study. God has been gracious with people participating and hopefully learning from God's word.
Strangely enough though 3 people turned up for Bible study on Tuesday and last Sunday.
Please pray for two guys one who had been very regular. One seems to have gone missing the last 2 weeks and the other  has  just started to get things back together. He has now  returned and attending  a bit more regularly. He used to be one of the most consistent and attend Thursdays and Sundays but this has stopped since he has lost his way.
Thanks also to Ann, Derek and Lisa (my wife) whose help was again invaluable yesterday.
Next Thursday will be our last Thursday meeting for the year.
